Prielbrusye

Prielbrusye is a national park and resort area in the mountains of Kabardino-Balkaria, which includes the highest peak of Russia – Elbrus, as well as its nearest surroundings. On the territory of the Elbrus region, there are sources of three fairly large glacial rivers. This is Baksan, Malka, and Kuban.  As a ski resort, Elbrus is almost as popular as Dombay. But the fame of Elbrus among mountaineers is so great that it is truly global. Every self-respecting climber considers it his duty to climb the highest peak of the Caucasus. 
  During the excursion to the Elbrus region, you can climb in the trailer and then in the chair of the cable car on the slopes of the Caucasian giant Elbrus to an altitude of more than 3,700 meters. Where there is snow all year round. As you climb, you will see beautiful waterfalls, glacial moraines, deep abysses, black and red rocks consisting of frozen volcanic lava beneath you. From the top station of the cable car you can enjoy a charming view of the mountains of the Main Caucasus Range. Behind the passes one can even see some of the mountain peaks of Georgia, including the mountain Ushba, which is well-known to climbers. Those who wish to continue on the slopes of Elbrus and rise above 4000 meters above sea level can use the services of a snowcat.
